If we are having a garden again this summer, then I am putting my foot down and insisting on new garden tools. I want to have a big, thick handle on my hand tools so I can grip them well and not get hand cramps. I want tools that are not rusted. I don’t want to use a wood handle and have to worry about getting a big splinter in my hand.

New garden tools are not all that expensive, and if you are going to be using them daily – or at least a few times each week – they are a good investment.
