Discovering Redbox

The kids have talked me into trying a new way to watch movies. You go to a vending machine and choose the movie you want. The machine charges you one dollar on your credit card and you get the movie until 9:00 pm the next night. That’s a great price and very convenient. There are Redbox machines all over town – less than a mile from my house. So I’m going to give it a try tonight.

Finding New Music

Local radio is so boring that I don’t even bother to turn on the radio anymore. Not even in the car. In fact, in the car is where I do my best thinking, so I appreciate the silence.

But I believe in supporting good musicians and still have a desire to hear new music. Every once in a while I catch a morning news show with a live band doing a song or two. That is how I first hear Pink and Train. They are both very good rock and roll bands. And if I don’t fall asleep too early, I might hear a song at the end of the David Letterman Show or Craig Ferguson.

I miss good radio, but Clear Channel and Viacom have killed radio for me.
