My neighbor has been watching cooking shows on cable. I think that is great for he, but I don’t think I have time for sitting around all day thinking about food. I love to cook and would like to learn a few things to improve my technique and collection of recipes, but watching hours and hours of TV shows is not the way I want to do that.

Valentines
Happy Valentine’s Day! This is mostly for my children and grandchildren, as when you get to my age, Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean much any more. Unless you happen to be widowed or divorced and you are single again. But for people in a long relationship, I don’t think it means much more than a duty or obligations to buy a box of chocolate and pretend you still love each other madly and passionately like before you got married.
