I don’t like pencils. They are dirty, the way they smudge across the paper or writing surface and end up with dark smudges all over the side of your hand after you write with a pencil. I don’t trust anyone who uses a pencil to fill in a crossword puzzle or work with math. If you know what you are doing you don’t need to be able to erase your answers. I like pens and I like the different colors of ink and different types of pens. That’s just my opinion and I’m sticking to it.

TV Blahs
The regular TV season ended a while ago and there is not much on prime time network TV worth watching. The biggest news lately about TV is that NBC has kicked off Jay Leno’s 10 pm eastern show and will be moving him back to his 11:30 time slot. That means that Conan’s will be canceled. I am not a fan of either show, but I suspect that NBC could have cut Jay back to a big production special show every couple of months and left Conan in place. It does not seem fair to give Conan a show and then just take it away.
New Grocery
Although I almost never go west into Wilson County for anything that can be avoided, I had to go out there today. It must have been Fate, because while there I discovered there is a brand new grocery store that has opened. This new store is the closest Publix grocery store to my house. That is so awesome! Now I can go to Publix more often!
