Red Bike – Too Bad

628

One of my neighbors is evidently in a bind for cash and has put his Harley Davidson out on the grass in front of his house with a for sale sign on it.

It looks like a nice bike. The only thing I don’t like about it is the paint job. It is bright red. I have an aversion to red vehicles – there have been dozens of cars and trucks – and now, motorcycles – that I have passed up and not bought because they were red.

But it would be a hoot to by that bike and go for a putt . . .

Ouch

I can’t believe that I am admitting this to everyone, but I was so clumsy last night that I slipped and fell. Turns out that I broke my toe. That hurts! But I know from dozens of visits to an emergency waiting room that they do absolutely nothing for a broken toe – unless the bone is sticking through the skin. So I’ll be limping for a couple weeks and feeling foolish for slipping.

Twice is Nice

Tonight we are going to watch fireworks on the Lake. It’s a free show by the amusement park. All we have to do is drive over to the dam and park on the lakeshore, sit in the front seat – or let the tailgate down and sit on that.

Tomorrow the City is doing a free fireworks show down on the riverfront. They have the symphony play patriotic songs during the show, which is a nice touch.

So we get two nights of fireworks shows this year! Hope you have a safe and happy Fourth of July, too.
