No Toast

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

This morning I took out my package of Thomas’s English Muffins and split the muffin in half with a fork. This is how I make toast in the morning – the same thing I’ve done since I was 8 years old and my mom showed me how. Mom say that the ONLY english muffins are the ones that Thomas’s makes and I have to admit I did try a couple other brands but have always been disappointed in the off-brands.

I dropped the two muffin halves in the toaster and pressed the lever down. Nothing happened. The lever would not stay down and the little heat elements inside never turned red.

I guess my toaster has gone on to that big kitchen counter up in the sky.

My Niece is Blogging Now

Sunday, May 17th, 2009

This morning I got a nice email note from my darling niece, Haley. She has got a blog and is blogging now. I did not realize that she was interested in writing posts. That’s so exciting! I’m proud of her and all she does.

If you are interested in learning more about my niece and what she’s doing these days, you can read the Haley McLeod blog, too!

Squirrels in the Attic

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

This morning I heard the noise again and this time I am sure of it. We have squirrels in the attic. I don’t know how they are getting in my attic, but they must have found a way through the gutters or the eaves or something up high that I cannot see from the ground.

This could become a serious problem, so I am going to have to call Mr. Anderson to come help me fix whatever opening the squirrels and found and get them out of my attic.
